Abstract
This study aims to determine factors influencing low coverage of the new family planning acceptors of IUD (IUD) in the center of Prambanan Klaten Year 2010. This research is a descriptive study with cross sectional approach to time. The population is all the Fertile Couple Age (EFA), which was family planning in PHC Prambanan Klaten in 2010 with a sample study of 60 people. This research can be concluded that the factors influencing low coverage of the new family planning acceptors of IUD (IUD) include price/cost, side effects, knowledge, and the influence of husbands. Suggestions for midwives to better improve counseling services to provide pre-clear and complete information about contraceptives and about the selection of effective contraception and rationally chosen. For further researchers to pay more attention to cultural factors are very influential in the use of IUD.
