Abstract

Reproductive health is a very important thing. Right understanding of reproductive health is absolutely necessary for early adolescents and their parents. Given that adolescence is a time can give a negative impact on reproductive health if not addressed properly, it can be a deviation occurs. Research design using analytical survey with cross sectional research variables are knowledge about menstruation with efforts to maintain hygiene during menstruation. Population sample of 70 students with 20 students. Statistical test with the Kendal Tau, kuessioner mengguanakan data collection tool. The results of converting the τ value of 0.344 with significance level (p) 0.002. This study has shown the value of p less than 0.05 (0.002 <0.05) so that it can be stated there is a relationship between two variables. Z value at 5% significance level is at 4.24. To test the two parties then 5% error level was divided in two, making it 2.5%. Furthermore, the price of Z can be viewed on a normal curve with Z is 0.475 (0.475 obtained from 0.5 to 0.025). Based on these figures, the price of Z is 1.96 so we get Z Countdown> Z table (4.24> 1.96). Based on this we can conclude that there is a significant correlation between the level of knowledge about menstruation with efforts to maintain hygiene during menstruation at the Seventh-grader SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta in 2010
