Abstract

The puberty age is flavored by the growth, changes, anxiety occurrence, and sometime facing the risk related to the reproduction health. This research used experiment method. The sample collection technique used the purposive sampling. The samplings were the fifth grade students of Tunjungan Elementary School of Pandak and there were 20 of them. This research showed that most of the fifth grade students (15 students or 75%) of Tunjungan Elementary School were ready to face the puberty, and five students or 25% were ready enough to face the puberty. Most of the students (10 students or 50%) of Srandakan Elementary School 1 were ready to face the puberty, six students or 30% were ready enough to face the puberty, and four students or 20% were not quite ready to face the puberty. This fact is showed by the statistic test using the Man Whitney U Test. The result of the test is 108.000; it is smaller than U ManWhitney, which is 114. There is a significant effect of the awareness rising on the reproduction health toward the readiness to face the puberty on the fifth grade students of Tunjungan Elementary School of Pandak Bantul regency year 2011.
