Abstract

Toddler Nutritional status is one indicator that describes the level of welfare. One way of assessment of nutritional status is the measurement anthropometric Toddlers who use indexes Weight by Age (BB / U). One of the state of nutritional status of children could be due to the level of maternal education, which covers about the level of knowledge. So these factors also determine the amount of percentage by weight Toddler below the red line. The purpose of this study is known Correlations Between Knowledge Levels About the Nutritional Status of Parents With Toddlers Weight Genesis Red On Bottom Line Health Center Purworejo Ngombol Central Java in 2010. This type of research is a descriptive correlation approach using the method of retrospective time, the number of participants in this study as many as 30 people. Correlation analysis formula used is chi square. The results of the respondents were parents with a level of knowledge about the nutritional status of malnourished toddler who suffered as many as seven respondents (23.3%). Based on analyzing the chi square test, p value obtained value of 0.781 (p> 0.05), In conclusion there is no correlation between level of parental knowledge about the nutritional status of infants with the incidence of weight below the red line at the health center Ngombol, Purworejo, Central Java in 2010 .
