Abstract
Anemia on pregnant mother to constitute one of factor which regard instance low birth weight infant (BBLR). Pregnant mother with anemia, experiencing trouble and substance transportation interference alimentary substance, so fetus requirement grows to slow and childbirth with BBLR. This research intent to know relationship among anemia on pregnant mother with instance of low birth weight infant (BBLR) at Puskesmas Tegalrejo Yogyakarta Year 2010. This research is using method of documents studying, time approaching using retrospective to kendall-tau’s statistic test. Total sample of 37 respondents with taking sample method using total sampling. Base statistical test, the result as much as 0,881 by appreciative sig 0,000. It shows that p < 0,05 therefore research hypothesis accepted. This observational result points out available relationship among anemia on pregnant mother with instance of low birth weight infant (BBLR). Suggested to midwife to optimizing the antenatal visit and tighter monitoring to mark the BBLR'S jeopardy factor.
