Abstract

Postpartum woman who lack of vitamin A leads to susceptible infection diseases so she needs capsule vitamin A high doses. Covering vitamin A giving for postpartum in Bantul district in 2009 was 9.170 postpartum (72,55%). The data shows that that hasn’t got the target. The objective of this research is to know the implementation of giving vitamin A program in Bidan Delima Ranting Timur Cabang Bantul in 2010. The method used in this research is survey descriptive method and time approach is retrospective. The sample of this research is taken by using cencus sample with 21 respondents. It uses descriptive analyse. The result of the research is that 19 respondents (90,48%) have capsule vitamin A supply, so covering vitamin A giving for postpartum done by Bidan Delima in East Bantul is high in 2010. The frequency of giving capsule is twice, first after she gives birth and second after 24 hours she gives birth. The internal and external factors have great influence in the implementation of giving vitamin A for postpartum. Based on the reseach, it is suggested that midwife who doesn’t have capsul
