Abstract

An understanding of sexual development including an understanding of adolescent sexual behavior is one of understanding is important because adolescence is a time of transition from the sexual behavior of children into adult sexual behavior. Lack of this understanding will lead to less precise in determining adolescent attitudes about sexual behavior because the attitude is a readiness or predisposition to a behavior action. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of sexuality education on attitudes about sexual behavior in adolescents class XI MAN 2 Yogyakarta in 2010. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of sexuality education on attitudes about sexual behavior in adolescents class XI MAN 2 Yogyakarta in 2010. This research was pre-experimental or pre-experimental design using the Design Group One test pre-post test. Respondents in this study were students of class XI were 47 respondents who have a genuine interest in Java and become respondents. Before the extension of respondents were distributed questionnaires (pretest). A few days after the administration of questionnaire respondents provided pretest counseling about sexuality and the provision of a questionnaire (posttest) immediately after the illumination and collection of questionnaires on the day given the counseling. Results of research by using Wilcoxon statistical test, known to the significant value of 0.039. Therefore we can conclude that administration of education about sexuality influence on attitudes about sexual behavior on the respondent. Advice to school principals are expected to hold activities that provide additional knowledge to the students in the health sector, particularly reproductive health, such as continuous cooperation with health institutions when the student orientation, information and counseling center providing adolescent reproductive health that are better suited to the needs of adolescents in schools through peer counselor program.
