Abstract

The results of preliminary studies in SMA N 1 Bantul, Yogyakarta, from 35 female students who encountered there were 30 (86%) female students who experienced dysmenorrhoea dysmenorrhoea with rates varying. This study aims to determine the relationship level of knowledge about dysmenorrhea dysmenorrhea with handling the effort. Analytic method is a survey research with cross sectional method of data retrieval. The study population was students who experienced dysmenorrhoea, willing to be respondents, and do not have a disability. The sampling technique using a simple random sampling, then the number of samples obtained in this study a number of 96 students. Collecting data using questionnaires, statistical data analysis with non parametric test of Kendall's Tau koreasi. Based on the results of the research has been done on the SMA N 1 Bantul, Yogyakarta, the level of student knowledge about dysmenorrhea included in the low category by 84 female students (87.5%), dysmenorrhoea handling efforts at class XI student is included in the low category as many as 65 students (67, 7%). In conclusion there is a relationship with the level of knowledge about dysmenorrhea dysmenorrhea treatment efforts XI grade student at SMA Negeri 1 Bantul, Yogyakarta. Large value of correlation is 0.409 with a significant level 0.000 and the mistake level 5%. This can be done to tackle the problem are advised to actively seek information in order to attempt handling dysmenorrhoea made more optimal.
