Abstract

Mother's role in the preparation of menarche, could lead to the belief that menstruation is the fact that it is not fun. This study aims to determine the relationship with the mother's role in the preparation of the student to menarche in elementary school Kleco Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta 2011. This study uses a non-experimental methods with crosssectional approach. Sampling technique used is the sampling number of samples saturated with 78 students. Measuring instrument used was a questionnaire enclosed. Data processing using statistical Kendall's Tau test. The results of this study show any relationship with the mother's role in the preparation of the student to menarche in elementary school Kleco Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta 2011, as indicated by the τ value of 0.242 with a significance level (ρ) 0.004. On the basis of the results of the study is recommended to the school to provide advice on the menarche of students are better prepared when the menarche.
