Abstract
Background: Stereotyping behavior in children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) is one of 3 problems in children with Autism Spectrum Disorders which causes the problem of communication limitation and social interaction. Objective: The research is to investigate the influence of Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration (MNRI) addition in Brain Gym on stereotyping behavior declining in Autism Spectrum Disorders. Method: The research was a quasi experiment research. The population of the research was children with Autism Spectrum Disorders who undergo physiotherapy treatment in physiotherapy unit of Rajawali Citra Public hospital. The treatment was given for 3 times a week in 7 weeks. Group I is the sample group which was given Brain Gym andMNRI. The instrument of the research used Repetitive Behavior Scale-Revised (RBS-R) which was measured before and after treatment in each subject. Exhaustive sampling was used to draw 11 samples which were divided into 5 first group samples and 6 second group samples. Normality test used Shapiro wilk test. The research result was analysed using paired sample t-testto investigate the steretyping behavior declining in Autism Spectrum Disordersin group I and II. Result: Hypothesis test shows that p is 0,034 which means that p<0,05. The result shows that there is an influence of Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration (MNRI) addition in Brain Gym on stereotyping behavior declining in Autism Spectrum Disorders. Conclusion: In conclusion, there is an influence of Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration (MNRI) addition in Brain Gym on stereotyping behavior declining in Autism Spectrum Disorders. Suggestion: The next researchers are suggested to determine the minimum value of stereotyping behavior and the lengthen the time of research to get a better result.
