Abstract

Background: Low Back Pain myogenic leads to spasms in the muscles so that patients could feel a pain. Prolonged muscle spasms cause vasoconstriction of blood vessels resulting in ischemia, so the patients will restrict their movement that can cause pain. Objective: The study aimed to determine the comparison between the effect of core stability exercise and ultrasound combination and William Flexion exercise and ultrasound to lower work-related-pain on low back pain myogenic condition. Method: The study used experimental method with pre-posttest group design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The samples were farmers in Tinom, Sidoarum, Godean aged 22-70 years. Based on the Pocock formula, it was obtained 8 people for group I and 8 people for group II. The interventions were done for 4 weeks with a frequency of exercise three times a week. The measurement scale used was Visual Analogue Scale. The data were analyzed using Shapiro-Wilk normality test, homogeneity test used lavene test, test hypotheses I and II used paired sample t-test, and hypotheses III test used independent sample t-test. Results: The hypothesis I test obtained p=0.000 (p<0.05), it means that the combination of Core Stability Exercise and Ultrasound reduced the Low Back Pain myogenic. The hypothesis II test obtained p=0.000 (p<0.05), it means that William Flexion Exercise and Ultrasound reduced the Low Back Pain Myogenic. The hypothesis III test p=0.767 (p>0.05), it means that there was not difference on the effect of Core Stability Exercise and Ultrasound combination and William Flexion Exercise and ultrasound to lower work-related-pain on low back pain myogenic condition. Conclusion: There was not any difference on the effect of Core Stability Exercise and Ultrasound combination and William Flexion Exercise and ultrasound to lower work-related-pain on low back pain myogenic condition. Suggestion: The samples should not consume analgesics.
