Abstract
Every birth is expected to mothers with healthy and safe childbirth period. Cleanliness is a requirement for the realization of health can even prevent complications during childbirth. Wiladah after childbirth shal l be governed by special procedures in the religion of Islam. Knowledge of post-part urition bath is needed, so deeds are not damaged further. The purpose of this research to investigate the correlation between knowledge and behavior postpartum mo thers after childbirth in a large bath BKIA'Aisyiyah Karangkajen Yogyakarta.Thi s research uses de scriptive method of correlation with cross sectional approach, im plemented in the Moslem mother who gave birth and post-parturition re visited in BKIA 'Aisyiyah Karangkajen in January-April 2010. The respondents were selected using a quota sampling and collecting data using questionnaires and interviews .The results showed a ma jority resonden have good knowledge and correct behavior of a wiladah, th e results of statistic al analysis through chi square test with 0.00 si gnificance results showed th at there was a significant relationship between level of knowledge and beha vior of large baths. For the midwives to be aware of the obligations bath after ch ildbirth and can provide knowledge to the postpartum mothers concerning la rge bath after childbirth.
