Abstract

This research was to determine the inf luence of health education about drugs of medication adherence in Clinical Mental Nursing Hospital Ghrasia Provinsi DIY. There were 62 people used as the samples from the population were patients and families who visit the Clinic Mental Nursing Hospital G rhasia Provinsi DIY in November and December the year 2010. The method of the research was the Quasi Experiment. The analysis technique use parametric statistical test is the test paired sample t test. The research shows the level of medication adherence f or patients to reduce and eliminate the symptoms of mental disorder at the time of pre test in as many as 37 people obedient category (59.7%). The level of medication adherence for patients to reduce and eliminate the symptoms of mental disorder at the tim e of post test in the category of abiding by 47 people (75.8%). There are the effect of health education about drugs of medication adherence in Clinical Mental Nursing Hospital Ghrasia Provinsi DIY ( P value = 2.337 and α = 0.023 (p< 0,05) ).
